Donell Jones is a renowned vocalist, songwriter, and producer. The son of Renee Byrd and gospel singer Roy Jones, the Chicago native became best known for his 1999 platinum certified album WHERE I WANNA BE including the lead single "U Know What's Up" (featuring Lisa Left-Eye Lopes) In 2000, Jones recorded the song "I'll Go" for the soundtrack of the film Love & Basketball, which earned him a nomination for Best Original or Adapted Song, and an American Music Award.
The father of six completed a national tour with Alicia Keys and has produced and written hit songs for many of his contemporaries including Usher “Think of You,” 702 “Get It Together” " Jacquees “23,” and Jon B.
